Bull! There was no cornering with desperation when in 1957 and 1958 the TMT fanatics organized mass atacks against GC neighborhoods in Nicosia and organized "no go" areas all over the island.

It was a Turkish plan from the start to establish physical separation of the communities, TCs to one sied, ALL the rest on the other. It was all others who were excluded. It was racist from the start. It is still racist today and the goal of exclusive TC only areas is a goal in future settlement plans and it is camouflaged under the title "bizonality".

Here is a site , the US Library of Congress that you may get some independent facts , not propaganda .
www.countrystudies.us/cyprus/

In the meantime let me just add that all Cypriots suffered as a result of blind political aspirations at the expense of the true identity of the island .

Well if you ask the people here they will tell you something slightly different about the 50s, and they will also tell you that the TMT was just a retaliation for the Enosis fanatics.

I still rather put my money on "serious manipulation" just to save myself from having to wonder which one came first, I'm truly getting sick of the whole blaming game.

Shah you will do well if you spend a little time and read what the US Library of Congress says on the Cyprus issue.
As you rightly say ,"""" I'm truly getting sick of the whole blaming game.""" I don't blame you mate , there were no Angels involved in the conflict .

The article says they were disbanded after the invasion of 1974.

.... I guess that is substantial proof that partition was their aim?
