phoenix - believe me its a lot colder in the UK. They have given severe weather warnings for tomorrow with up to 20cm of snow.............thats 8 inches in old money  Eating ice cream by a fire sounds a much better option than a treck to work in snow drifts

I like the sound of the bikes but not sure whether i can get my two lazy daughters to do that.............thats a bit too physical for them

Any idea what the night life is like round Paphos :?:

The girls will "suffer" the day trips if you let them loose down Bar Street in the evening! :)

Can anyone tell me what its like in Cyprus please?
We have never been to the island before. We are going at Easter for two weeks and staying at the Kefalos Beach Village in Paphos. I know Cyprus has just changed to Euros but thats about all i know!!
Whats the weather like at that time of year? Where are the best places to eat? Whats the night life like? We have two teenage girls so i hope its fairly lively :)
Basically, if you can tell me anything about Paphos it would be a great help. Thanks...............Steve

Hi Steve

If you have not already found their website, this is the link:

www.kefalos.com.cy

The advice you have had so far is A1.

But for the girls; 'Bar Street' will be a bus ride to get there and a taxi back! The bars start to open again around Easter but a lot open all year.

From the Kefalos you are only a short walk from the Tomb of the Kings Road, where you will find loads of bars, clubs and resturants. STAY OUT of the Pole Dancing clubs... 8)

You are not far from Fun Buggy, they rent out buggies and organize Quad & buggy tours - speak to Jim the owner.

I hope you ALL have a great time... We do living here... :D :D :D

Stuart,
Thanks for the link to the Kefalos. I had only seen the hotel on the Thomson website before. My wife has already told me to keep out of the pole dancing clubs  Only 48 days to go and i can't wait :D :D

Hi
Depends where abouts you are in Telford!! I worked there for ten years over at Halesfield and came across all sorts, gypsys, stolen cars on EP and 3 or 4 breakings!!!

There are plenty of Karaoke bars in Paphos, don't know where exactly but just head for bar street and you should be ok. Failing that there are loads of bars on Tomb of the Kings road which do Karaoke.

I've just come back from Cyprus but didnt stay in Paphos though, not really my cup of tea mate but if you have kids they will enjoy it.

Simon, Thanks for the reply. It sounds like we should be OK in Paphos.
Your description of Telford is perfect. I've lived here all my life but i try not to mention it too much. We live about 2 miles from Halsefield which is close enough. I'm just proud to be Shropshire :D :D
Actually, your name rings a bell but i may be getting confused with someone else. You didnt play cricket for England by any chance did you??
I dont suppose you know how much fags are in Cyprus do you? Cheers, Steve
