This part of Cyprus Forum is called "Cyprus Problem".

Why? People don't genuinely come here to discuss it. And to be honest, 34 years after the event, most people can't even remember it or weren't born at the time.

And, of course, there's virtually sod all that can be done about it - until such time as the politicians and powers that be shift about and get round to sorting the EU / Turkey issue.

So why do people come here? Well, from my observations, it seems people post in this very lively part of the Forum in order to attack, jibe, wallow, whinge, complain, spread lies and hate, get angry and generally make sorrowful, nostalgic martyrs of themselves.

It's a pathetic and sad sight to behold, to be fair.

You'll be having the same dumb rows in a few years time. I could literally log off and come back in 2012, and it'll be the same handful of faces, talking the same shit.

Hell, even Piratis will be here, armed with stagnant statistics and meaningless quantities of hellenistic diatribe.

So. Very. Very. Boring.

More or less true,but there are a few posters on this forum,who genuinely want a dialogue,who have a past worth talking about.
There are others who post just to create ill will,hate.
With regard to Piratis,he has his views and he is Cypriot, it is his island..

It seems to me, from reading a few exchanges, that Pumpy has had a go at Piratis for a while...

Piratis is as Piratis does... this would not be the same forum without him. He is a no nonsense, plain speaking advocate of justice.

Pumpy on the other hand is flowery, flighty, fun but not to be taken too seriously...

Plenty of room for all.

Come on Pumpy, bury the hatchet, and let Piratis have his say ... and you can prance around and have yours .... :lol:

Piratis is easy meat because he is a mod. And therefore his head is well above the parapet.

I could just as easily take a pop at the mindnumbingly blinkered and extremist Turks who post here. All utterly bovine and in unflinching support for their flag.

I can't bear anyone who refuses to engage independent thought.

I don't have a patriotic bone in my body, and this is something I am eternally proud of.

I am so not a patriot , but an upholder of what is right, with leanings towards supporting the weak...

Don't you just hate those small minded forumers that are on here just to tell you off. To tell you how you should say things and how you should treat people... all mindless dribble... no thoughts no substance ... just useless instructions from manual-writers who have never lived.

I am really warming to you... but I think that you have a few issues which mean you are a tad unstable and unreliable... :wink:

If you noticed I very very rarely start a thread. The only reason I post here is to restore the truth by presenting facts and logical arguments when some others spread their propaganda and lies. The same lies that they say can have the same truths as an answer. I am not the one who directs what the discussions are, but them.

When some people like Bir try to bring something different in the forum I always respond possitively. Thats until the same partitionists came back with their usual lies in their effort to spread the hate which serves their partition aim.

I am Cypriot, I care about Cyprus, and I don't like it when lies are spread against my island. That is why I am here. But why are you here?
