I guess I am some way from catching up with you Bubbles

..... or did you have your kids very young :?

When she was 8!!! 8)

Hey Niki, that's not so unlikely these days :?

I am so glad I am not a mother of a girl, since apparently, they are reaching puberty as young as 8

.... Do you think Bubbles was a trend setter ... :?

My 2 are still young at 14 and 12. One of the advantages of being in Cyprus, they don't grow up too quickly.

I have a crazy medic-friend who has kept her (now 11 year-old) daughter on a near-starvation diet for the last 6 years to delay the onset of puberty.....

Drastic measures for a few extra inches in height.

It may be that your friend is more concerned with the possibility of an encounter with a few extra inches of LENGTH !.

Sorry folks,I know it is crude humour, but if I didn't pick up on it, somebody else surely would have done so.

I guess I was thinking as a mother of a boy ....

Actually, now there's a worrying thought

How do you keep young boys away from girls until they have finished school, Uni exams, career prospects, looking after their ageing mum etc ... before going off with these young hussies that just want to trap them :?

Why that's easy, Pheonix! You raise them to be typical Cypriot males. They don't want hussies. What they really want is to marry their mothers.

I did have a Cypriot Coppers assistance and yes you are right when it comes to pointing out a few things. Do they actually learn somthing when they go to the Academy?? My uncle had to pass 65 exams at Hendon Police Academy.. I think I remember my cousin in Cy telling me that they work at police stations then they go to the Academy, don't know..

Sorry about frightening you last night
