Regarding the EU, a European delegation are actually holding contacts in the TRNC on the harmonization of the Turkish Cypriots with the acquis, so try and keep up!

Suffering and joy teach us, if we allow them, how to make the leap of empathy, which transports us into the soul and heart of another person. ln those transparent moments we know other people's joys and sorrows, and we care about their concerns as if they were our own. All violence is the result of people tricking themselves into believing that their pain derives from other people and that consequently those people deserve to be punished.

The village idiot has spoken !!

What you mean unify fairly? Theres a whole heap of TC's going to the south to work everyday, you might be one of them, but you wont say if you were.
How come those TC's that pass the green line everyday to go work feel comfortable and free amongst GC's.
I guess some of you are stuck in the past and havent tried to come out of your holes to see everything has changed on the island.
Yoiu know you arent the only ones on the island theres many nationalities flying from everywhere, seems like your the only ones who have something to whinge about still.

Leffette,

The occupied part of Cyprus will be freed but not soon.

If you look at the map you will see Turkey, a country of 70 million people, and Cyprus, a small island of less than a million, just a few kilometers to its south. Cyprus have been plagued for ages by the Turks, who invade, kill and occupy our lands.

The last time they did so was in 1974. The killed and ethnically cleansed almost all Cypriot they could find in the north part of Cyprus and replaced them with Turks that they brought from Turkey. Then the declared some "Turkish republic" on this land that they took by force.

All these criminal actions of theirs are condemned by the United Nations and nobody recognizes this fake state they created in occupied Cyprus.

Piratis, you're forgetting that the illegal occupation of northern Cyprus by Turkey has also been condemned by the British Commonwealth as well as by the E.U.

As for Turkey joining the E.U.,it hasn't a snowball's chance in Hell of gaining membership.

BC maybe condemned by everyone but no one does anything about it.
At this stage after many years we have the upper hand in the situation and Turkey has no choice to take a couple of steps back from where it stands now.
there are more important things the Turks want to achieve, and Cyprus is a big weight on them ever move they make.
