Then we need to start again but as I have said...There will not be a need for it soon and the "RoC" will discard that one and take on the flag of Greece...

.... Why not take the flag of France, or Germany or any other EU country? :?

Really you are living in the past Zan.

Why should one EU country take on the flag of another EU country?

Phoenix,Cyprus doesn't even need a new flag.Did the Germans change their flag upon the reunification of Germany in 1990? No,it was the West German flag that became the flag of reunited Germany.

It is a construct purely functioning on Racist ideology. Keeping out people simply because they are classed by Turkey as different to themselves ... that is racist.

The self proclaimed construct that violates the rights of Greek Cypriots is hereby nominated as Racist Nation of the World.

If you have a flag raise it for the:

"Turkish Racist Nation of Cyprus"

You seem to have settled into a perfect environment - you've been in your beloved Cyprus for 2 secs and you are spouting more vermin than ever before.

Looks like you are a lost cause - you need help, and quick.

zan, I can see no point in directing anger towards people who are not responsible for the situation that now exists in Cyprus since that would mean that the politicians and military leaders have succeeded in fooling me, which they have not.

I have no issues with either T/C or G/C (I dislike the imposed distinction) since I know they were subjected to the 'Tried and Tested' manoeuvres of divisionary politics many years ago.

I accept that there has been great suffering on both sides of the (now divided) people of Cyprus and I am sure we are all well aware of the real reasons for such.

I do feel that the presence of Turkish troops is quite unnecessary since their occupation only serves to fuel the fires of hatred, precisely the reason for why the politicians on all sides prefer them to be there.

It would be unthinkable for this island to be at peace midst the turmoil that now surrounds it.

I feel that the Turkish Government's policy of encouraging settlement of Turkish subjects is wrong, the people who respond to the opportunity to settle here cannot be blamed since they only seek to improve the lives of themselves and their families.

I think the obviously antagonistic practice of displaying so many flags and emblems is also designed to ensure that a peaceful solution is hardly possible, given that the politicians are perfectly aware of the effect such displays have on the ordinary people, also ensuring unrest and division.

I will not allow such things to anger me since I know that it has become necessary to maintain this island as a military stronghold in the Middle Eastern region, the pity is that the people should have been given the truth of the matter many years ago, THAT would not be conducive with politics for the obvious reason that TRUTH and POLITICS do not mix.

In my humble opinion.

And which of those qualities can you attribute to the "RoC" as a tit 4 tat policy.

As for not directing anger towards people who are not responsible for the situation that now exists in Cyprus.......How did today happen then...It did not just appear out of the blue......The "RoC" is still a highjacked part of the Cyprus Republic..How can you not be angry at that if were fair :? :?
