you are so outspoken phoenix!
I have personality disorder, i look different, i walk the other way, i live in another country, name a language i can speak it......eeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrr ok, I lift up the Cyprus flag, problem solved

It is a construct purely functioning on Racist ideology. Keeping out people simply because they are classed by Turkey as different to themselves ... that is racist.
The self proclaimed construct that violates the rights of Greek Cypriots is hereby nominated as Racist Nation of the World.
If you have a flag raise it for the:
"Turkish Racist Nation of Cyprus"
Which 3 flags represent you?
Do you suffer from multiple personality disorder? ... or is it commitment-phobia?
(P.S. shut up Zan.... )

She must have a really boring, sad life..
Whatever members (in particular Turk or T/C) may think of Phoenix and her outspoken contributions to various topics on this forum, there is one point that cannot be denied and that is that she says it as she sees it.
She rarely (if ever) relies on the clippings of newspapers and written or verbal wise words of political representatives, ANY FOOL CAN DO THAT.
If we communicate the ideas and opinions of the politicians and their ilk, we can hardly rely on the validity of our comments since we KNOW that they are invariably based on a matter of self interest and likely to be untrue.
Thus, if both sides of any debate resort to similar tactics, there is little value in debating since obviously the matter has already been debated.
There is little point in hurling abuse at each other, (Gentlemen, the onus is still on you to show respect to a Lady) unless it is your intention to intensify ill feelings.
I am sure there are many who, like myself, have suffered greatly as a result of the Turkish invasion/occupation of our island, it is not our fault that our leaders are unable to resolve the issues that THEY have created and there is little to gain if we (the minions in the matter) continue to abuse each other as a result of it.
To those who actually gloat over the fact that there are so many foreign troops, mostly Turkish, many others, I would like to gently remind you that whatever resolution is found, the ordinary people of both sides will hardly feel the benefit since you (and I) are of no consequence in the eyes of those who pretend to have our best interests at heart.
We should direct our anger and frustration towards those who lead us astray and divide us, I am sure that most members do not feel quite so resentful of each other as this forum would have us believe.
Personally, I do believe it is quite wrong for the Turkish forces to be here in such strength, I regard the 'Flag on the Mountain' to be an offensive and unnecessarily antagonistic reminder of their presence, it does nothing to promote good will and only serves to drive a wedge between the G/C and T/C (unfortunately divisional titles) Cypriots who have lived together peacefully for years PRIOR to all the political chicanery which created the present day situation.
In my humble opinion of course.
If a lady wants to come here and act like a man then on her head be it...It would be sexist to treat her ay differently. I personally do not believe she is who she says she is anyway so until I am proven wrong she can open her own doors......
I am surprised at your attitude towards the presence of the Turkish army and your reluctance to accept the reasons for them being there and my predicament due to GC aggression in the 60s. You should also be angry at the "RoC" for causing the conditions in the first place.

Phoenix,Turkey isn't even located in Europe,as it is a Middle Eastern country.Albania,Bosnia-Hercegovina & Kosovo has more chance of joining the E.U. than Turkey has,as these 3 countries ARE located in Europe.
Turkey's got a lot in common with Iran though!

How is Cyprus in europe geographically speaking? At least Turkey has land in europe! The last time I looked on the map Cyprus was a lot closer to the middle east.
BCN ... I know that, dear
