If I'm not mistaken the above is a first from Phoenix. Lets not give up hope on her, lets convince her that we are Cypriots just like her, we have as much right as any GC to be here.

Just one more thing, lets also remember she is a Cypriot. We know Cypriots are kind , generous and forgiving people and I'm sure Phoenix deep down is no different.

Last but not least lets not forget she is a lady, we as chaps have to respect that. I made the mistake of behaving like an ass towards her the other night and I have regretted it ever since. I'd like to publicly apologize to her.

Whats up Mr-fr-NG; Getting excited that you will be meeting madam Founaklas?. You better get ready for the Hamam a la Turca. Make sure the hairdresser gives you a nice clean shave and a good bath. Dont forget the davul - zurna either.Lets know how the nuptials go, will you?

My hairdresser don't do baths Deniz    . Anyway you do have a point, the prospect of meeting Phoenix made me realise that it would be embarrassing to do so without first clearing the air. And the truth is I was out of order the other night for bringing her family into our argument by questioning and criticising her as a mother.

I am glad you did not take my point the wrong way. I remember old village weddings when bride and groom would be taken to a 'Hamam' with davul/zurna. Funny language ours is. Tell someone to 'mamama git' does not go down nicely.

Anyway 'yaygaraci' was first to bring family into the equation. A convenient vantage point from where to snipe from. A sort of 'Human Shield'. Dont forget, "kadinin fendi, erkegi yendi".

Selamlar

You have made over 7000 posts. NOT once have had a nice word to say about your country , if as you say is Cyprus . You have referred to the people of Cyprus in the most hateful mode , you have likened the island of Cyprus to Spain , Malta , Italy or any other foreign country. Every , well almost every poster from both sides have said sorry for all the wrongs their side did to the other side . You dont even want your children to even listen to the Greek language , so immersed in hate you are that even the sound of the language is anathema to you and you dare ask me to prove your hate or apologise .
You grasp at every negative post by a G/C to highlight the sick perversion you nurture that our people can not live together contrary to the fact that we did for hundreds of years. You ignore the faults of one side and blame the other 100% .
When I visited Istinjo to pay my respects to a great Cypriot I commented that the people of Istinjo had to run for their lives when the fanatics showed up , I felt their fear and still do ,. I empathise with those children , women and men who must have been , just as Bir was , shit scared , have you ever expressed one word of sympathy for people who were forced out of their homes never to return , and to be told now that the house they were born in , and their parents before them is no longer in CYPRUS but in Turkey , they can no longer visit the graves of their ancestors or pray in their churches. Have you ever seen the other side of the coin , NO you are too consumed with hatred , and you are asking me to apologise !!!
I see the wrongs commited and still being commited by the ROC and I shout it from the top of my voice .I have been called a Turkish bastard , a traitor and worst of all a collaborator acting against the interests of Cyprus.
I have a large map of Cyprus in my office , this is what it has written on it : THIS IS CYPRUS , NOT NORTH OR SOUTH , NOT GREEK NOT TURKISH
This is where I stand , A CYPRIOT .

You read my posts with biased I have on numerous occasions stated that both sides were to blame, also acknowledged the GC suffering but based on the numerical advantage of the GCs and their dream for enosis they were the instigators of the whole Cyprus problem. I would never let any harm to a GC who visits the TRNC and would intervene to stop any incident that would put them in danger. you have to understand my point of view about not wanting to hear Greek being spoken all the time, imagine your country is Spain and everyone around you speaks Italian, the south to me is like another country because we have never been one Cypriot country. I left the UK so ı could raise my children in an environment where they felt they belonged and were the indigenous people, not the visitors luckily I have achieved that but united with every 5 people being GCs how would I have fared?

VP , We have a lot in common , you must agree . Having a T/C in my family has helped me to see the other side of the coin. The T/C family member is the husband of my brother's wife , ie two English girls married Cypriots one G/c and one T/Cs .
All sides are to blame for the mess created , for the 10s of thousands who lost their lives .Right now though part of Cyprus is under Turkish occupation. An indisputable fact and one that the overwhelming majority feel uncomfortable with.

I agree miltiades but I still feel strongly that unless GCs can show TCs that a united Cyprus would be better than what we have now, then they have lost the the match totally and we have to accept being part of Turkey clear and simple. GCs have to accept we are equal partners in Cyprus and that united we would not do anything to derail the situation unless we are faced with danger, if GCs do not fear themselves then whats the problem with giving us the power to say no? Obviously they fear themselves more than they do us.

The overwhelming majority have to take concrete measure to bring the 2 communities the past 5 years have brought us to a worse point than we were before the borders opened just think about that for a few minutes and ask yourselves why?

Well spotted Shah.
My brother's wife is an English girl and her sister , ( my brothers wife sister ) is married to a T/C
which means that his ( the T/Cs ) children are first cousins to my nieces and nephews. Get it !!
