How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I have had many GC friends and we had a fantastic time from the 70s on...We practically lived in each others pockets...I have only one GC friend left now and I would die for him...He and the normal GC people are not the problem....The "RoC" and what the leaders have done and what they intend to do is....As for faith...No thankyou..I prefer my contracts in writing.....

The only place we can claim to be "not minorities but equal partners" is in the 1960 Constitution". If we don't want that Constitution anymore for the future of Cyprus as most TC's don't and we want another set of rules, then we will lose the "equal partners" clause, or else we need to abide by all of it's other provisions, which means, no bi-zonal, bi-community and no North and South Cyprus.

As you said Zan, there's always a Ying to a Yang.

So did these indigenous minorities ever sign an agreement that made them equal partners that the so called majority will not honour....No? Didn't think so.......Any new agreement will have to reflect realities mate and you squirming like a worm will not take anything away from that.......OR...ther simply will not BE any agreements....Why he hell should we give up our rights at the end of a gun.......Apples and pears and a few nuts thrown in for your enjoyment.......

No Zan, they did not sign anything, because those countries do not believe in Democracy, let alone in True Democracy.

The only thing we have signed is the 1960 Constitution as "equal partners". We can all go back to that agreement if we all wanted, but if we all do not want to, then we start from Zero, which makes us "indigenous minorities" and the GC's
"indigenous majorities".

Did I miss something.??

Here you go Zan, perhaps you like being this kind of minority instead.

E.I.: You are one of those that have chosen to be active on both sides of the division line. How do you see the presence of the TCy developing here?

M.K.: If we don’t solve the problem in the next few years I don’t see any future for the TCy. In the northern part we are certain now that the population is reaching 500,000. We have recently started to investigate the matter as a party. We have taken the initiative to prepare a relevant document for this. With these facts it is proven that the TCy are a minority in the north and thus we don’t have a voice. Under these circumstances, some have chosen to live in the south. There is the choice for TCy to either live under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus or to emigrate. As long as the present situation with the division continues, the pressure on the TCy will increase and who knows… there might be a moment when they have to seek their luck in the south. But again, the future will be uncertain.

Getting back to the subject at hand, it is good to see that the OIC is taking the lead to ease the isolations imposed on the besieged TRNC. Hopefully, things will start to show some improvement in those fields that OIC is concentrating on (sport for example).

Why can't you get it into your head that given the choice we would be in that position every day of the week rather than the Greek version....How about the real figures from the "RoC"........

Zan,

As Kifeas has pointed out to you already on another thread, at times I do not think you are able to comprehend the reality of the situation when it is written down, since you are not recognizing what the realities are in the "TRNC" now and what they will mean in the near future, so I thought rather than waste any of my time in explaining them to you in a written form, it is best to let you see an image, hoping that it will be etched in your brain of things to come and what is to become of True TC's in the "TRNC" by the influx of more Turkish settlers. There's nothing worse than trying to educate a self proclaimed educated person, such as yourself.

Let see if you can figure out what this picture represents in the "TRNC" now and in the near future Zan. Ironically, the ratios of white sheep to the black one are also very close to the numbers given earlier at the above post.

Tell me Zan, can you say Meeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhh.!!!
