We have already established that the government job is the best place for any employee and there is not a government job for every person, after all were not suppose to be a communist nation.
What happens is that the jobs are given out internally. This means that say my farther has a big role to play in the operation of Cyprus Airways
(which he does not). Cyprus Airways is not 100% government, it is half government and half private shareholders. Otherwise known in Greek as imigratiki, or a semi-government company if you like.
Taking into account that my dad has a large role to play in this company, and also recognising that these types of jobs are the best in Cyprus, my farther will no doubt put a good word in for me. Who has the best word given internally will also depend ultimately on who gets the job.
University degrees, masters and so forth play a tiny role in acquiring a government position. Most government jobs just need the applicant to have completed school
(or likeo). The main government positions that have university degrees as requirements are doctors, teachers, accountants and lawyers. Most government positions do not require a university degree.
Cyprus's government is not run by it's youth. In fact all the people running for presidency this year are old enough to retire. What are the chances that these people would move with the Internet, fairly slim.
