We have had many accusations that Turkey will one day sell the TRNC/KKTC down the line..........Is Greece getting ready to do the very thing that Turkey is being accused of.......What does Greece think.....

Cyprus presidential front-runner to meet with Greek politicians in Athens

Nicosia/Athens. One of the main front-runners for the presidential post in Cyprus Ioannis Kasoulides will visit Athens on Sunday, the Greek radio Sky informed.
Kasoulides is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dora Bakoyannis and President Karolos Papoulias.
Kasoulides, who will be running in the presidential elections on February 17th, will find out more about the results of Karamanlis’s visit to Turkey and the Cyprus issue. He will also discuss European Commissioner Olli Rehn’s position that the use of the ports and airports in Northern Cyprus for direct trade is not illegal.

Not much !! they will talk the talk now and then but they never offer anything concrete to Cyprus.You would of thought Greece would be the largest investor in Cyprus,I don't see it.Cyprus and their problems is not a vote winner in Greece,number ten on the agenda is the best Cyprus can hope for !!!!

totally true purdey - turkey wants a stake in a large percentage of the north of Cyprus - regardless of Turkish Cypriots. That's why GCs have no-one to fight for them - it's in no-ones interests to do so :)

We got into the EU through the efforts of one man, a Cypriot diplomat by the name of Yannos Kranidiotis. Greece helped in the sense that it lobbied European leaders, however it was Kranidiotis who did the real work for ten years. He even had to convince the Cyprus government to agree to join.

No threat of a veto by Greece then if the didn't let the "RoC" in.... :roll: :roll: :roll: No country with a border dispute should have got in...Simple and easy... :roll:

Yannos Kranidiotis was a Cypriot, but he was a member of the GREEK government. I doubt he would have made any difference if he wasn't
