The Turkish Cypriot Flag

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby utu » Fri Feb 01, 2008 12:03 am

Shakespeare has done his share of patriotic plays. Henry V is a good example of that. In any case, a flag has a strong pull on people. The term - and I'm sure that you have heard of it - is called Vexillidolotry. Those who love the flag more than despise those who do not. So it is only obvious that people defending the flag will rally around it more vehemently. The Turkish Cypriot flag is a good example of this.

Unfortunately for you madam, you have got yourself too far down the racist road to pull yourself out with wittiness, let alone turning it all against me, nice try tho

I have come to the conclusion that you are just another Piratis without a penis but with more balls, i hoped you were more interesting then him but i was wrong, arguing with you and him is like running on a treadmill which is not even facing the right direction. You will never take off your Nazi goggles.

I'll take your protests as secretly in accord with me ... and we'll say no more as I know you view those anti-Turkishness Laws seriously.

Good luck Honey ... we will be struggling from the outside, to liberate you from those racist Turks... :D

Is this a transformation or what? The Taming of the Shrew by GR?

Ho about "One shrew over the cuckoos nest"....

The flag of the so-called 'TRNC' is a symbol of hate, just like the Irish tricolour is.

It is the sign of a people, It is the sign of resistance to hate. It is the sign of resistance to Greek dominance in our country.

Zan,why don't you try flying the flag of the Republic of Cyprus up there in northern Cyprus? You could certainly piss off a few Turks up there in the process.

Do you not listen to what is being said here....There is no flag of the "RoC"...The flag they are using has been stolen from the Cyprus Republic and they have dirtied it's name.....That is not my flag.

Zan,your country is called Cyprus. There's no such country as the 'Turkish Republic of Cyprus'.You are forgetting that Turkey's claim to northern Cyprus is as legal as Spain's claim to Gibraltar,Argentina's claim to the Falkland Islands,& the Republic of Ireland's claim to Northern Ireland - illegal under international convention!

NOT EVERYONE HATES THE iRISH TRICOLOR.

I dont hate the Greek flag as it represents its people. If anyone hates the flag that represents any people, that is THEIR problem.
