***Pardon for oversea's TC's .***

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

***Pardon for oversea's TC's .***

Postby umit07 » Mon Jan 28, 2008 11:36 pm

Tonight on TV it has been annouced that a bill, pardoning TC's who have not completed their military obligations will come into effect in the following weeks. It is meant to cover TC's who left the country without doing their military service.

The following details are not final, but some of the details I heard about on TV.

As you know if you are in AWOL status ( Asker Kaçağı), the second you set foot in the TRNC you are arrested and sent to complete your military service.

*It is meant to cover people who are in AWOL status ( Asker Kaçağı )
*If you fit the criteria you will be able to stay in the TRNC for no longert han 90 days a year .
*If you would like to settle down in the TRNC, you will have the right to settle your obligations via money ( Bedelli Askerlik) or by completing your military service .

* You would have had to lived overseas for at least 7 years as an AWOL ( asker kaçağı ) to apply.
*Once the bill passes you have to apply within 90 days. You will be able to apply through all overseas TRNC representitive offices.

If you are lucky you might be able to catch the program on "Genç TV" via sat. You can also watch the program live , or a video of it at www.gaktv.eu

TCs? Military service?

I bet that's a right fuckin' hoot! Sorry, I have images of gangly, unemployed wastrel gangs of feral pumpkin seed munching youths swaggering around a scorched hill with Sergeant Bilko barking at them from a lizard strewn atoll. With a faded TC flag flapping in the wind and the smell of goat shit in the air.

The words: "unprofessional rabble" spring to mind. Can't for the life of me figure out why.

When the Commanding Officers give TC recruits rifles, do they tend to go off and pawn them for second hand cars and enough cash to buy a few hands of blackjack and a blowjob?

Or do they need emergency training in case they forget which way round they need to point the thing?

Silly bastards.

I will be interested to find out all the details Zan. This only talks about those who are AWOL's. I was never an AWOL. I left Cyprus as a child. I did not leave the "TRNC" as an adult to become an AWOL. Lets wait for the details to come out.

My home land still is Cyprus Zan and that is still available to me. What I would like to do, is to visit the rest of my country of Cyprus without any problems.

you are AWOL,the moment you hit 49 years of age as far as I know Kiks so what age you left does not matter. You could have visited once anyway and signed to say you will return but I do get your point.

Why do I get the feeling that you have a rather low opinion of the military capabilities of the Turkish Cypriots?

The illegal state of "RoC"...Don't make me laugh....I don't care how many people "Have to" recognise the "RoC", and I agree they have no choice in the eyes of the law, but that law was used in an underhanded way and at gun point to get to where it is.

I also agree with you that he did visit his country....He can have the "RoC"...We don't want it and never will. e will take either the original Cyprus Republic or a new state....The "RoC" does not exist for us.
