Insan,

You have to be man enough to take the rough with the smooth.

If MicAtCyp gets banned because of your complaints then I'll be out of here as well. You will just end up talking to yourself.

I think Insan (he/she) has every right to complaint to admin.

And what will that achieve?

Insan,
The bold part was a joke. I understand the "demon" part bothered you however that was used to show how fast you are, not to call you a "demon".
e.g Michael Shoemaher drives faster than a demon!

Regarding my evidences ask yourself any TC you like.Did they find a 10 times better house than what they left behind yes or no?

****************************

Thank you Mikkie for supporting me, but if I am banned Insan will feel sorry for losing a "friend" too. But even if this happens, Mikkie you can tell the truths better than me, so please stay.

Hi MicAtCyp,

People get so easily offended in here it makes debating rather difficult. Trying to write politically correct English in order to not offend is time consuming and in many cases stops a point being put across. My term of scattering egg shells everywhere is very apt for this forum.

At the risk of being labelled a nepotist, thanks for supporting me also. To be honest, you have much more experience of the Cyprus problem than I do and I find your analysis and knowledge invaluable. Younger forum members should take note! So I hope you will remain in this forum.

MicAtCyp,
I also support your right to remain on the forum and express your ideas.
I also agree that your posting was not that offensive, at least to the extent that Insan made it sound so.

However, and this applies to everyone -including my self, we should try to be more careful in the way we fraise certain things or they way we post certain facts.

For example, to say that the average TC house was made out of mud and the average GC house was made out of bricks, irrespective of whether it is a true fact or not, and then let it to go through -without further clarification, may result to a misunderstanding of your intentions. It may easily get interpreted as a victimizing cliché.
If you are certain that this is a true fact, then you should add a couple of more lines explaining why this was the case, either in the same or in a following posting. For example, we all know that the TC community was to a great extent more economically isolated during the 63-74 years, for all the reasons we discussed in this forum. That resulted to a lower per capita income and therefore to less quality houses. It doesn’t mean that the average TC is lazier than the average GC, or that the average GC is cleverer than the average TC. The TCs didn’t live in inferior houses, by choice. The circumstances made it to be so. And all of us, GCs, TCs, RoCy, have our share of the blame for it.

Although MicAtCyp and I have recently attempted to mend fences his whole approah and style is very offensive and abbrasive to many TCs, at one stage I just didnt answer his posts because I felt he wasnt worth the effort, does his style of arguement help us in the forum in the long run, unfortunately not, its brigns to end any real conversation and take us back to slinging mud and abuse at each other.

Heres a good example;
That's what pisses me off with people like you VP.

What do you say to someone like this? shut the fuck up you idiot springs to mind, but this would fuel more abuse, then you think why should I shut up if he can hurl such comments that I should be allowed to as well.

So Insan should be allowed to air his views without being given abuse which he was only trying to counter, if you dont like his ideas then its easy dont respond if you going to be rude.

-mikkie2- why are you always going on about egg shells, people are putting accross their views, if you feel that it is delicate issue then maybe you should think about paying some respect and responding with caution or being more diplomatic.

MicAtCyp
For me it is obvious Kifeas wants ALL his OWN land back.

Try reading his response, under the circumstances he would have accepted compensation reluctantly but he has issues with the compensation procedures.

Can you explain us where the property board will find the money? By taking it from the pocket of Kifeas pearhaps?
That's what pisses me off with people like you VP. You accepted the Anan Plan knowing damn well how the trick with the property board would work. It would donate you the properties of GCs and the GCs themselves would pay the property board to compensate (?) themselves. The fact is the GCs would NEVER be compensated. The money they would get from bonds maturing 30 years later would not be enough for Kifeas to even buy a bicycle.

If you are right in what you say then we did the right thing by saying YES, if it was so much in our favour dont you think???otherwise you would have called us idiots for saying if we had of said NO, but thats what you wanted us to say???
