The principles of EOKA for fight for freedom will always be alive until Cyprus is liberated from foreign occupation.

That is something up to you. We can gov. Cyprus as equal partners or we can just take our piece.

Equal means one person one vote with no racist discriminations. If you don't want to be equal Cypriots and to live in peace with the rest of Cypriots, then we will have to be separated, right? (I am sure you agree). But, the way we will be separated will not be by you stealing our land and gaining on our loss as you hope for.

So it is either peace and all Cypriots are equal, or war, and we will see who is going to win it.

The bullies were EOKA,whose members hid and killed without compassion.Dragged women and children from their beds undercover of darkness.Took revenge on Greek Cypriot school teachers, shopkeepers who only wanted a quiet life.Go to the villages ask the locals, they hate EOKA and all they stand for.

I have no problem of you being in Cyprus as a tourist, resident or citizen.

My problem is with sending your troops to force your rule over us and occupy our island. You have to accept that we have every right to fight against colonialism and for our self-determination.

How strange it is that anywhere on the face of the earth, ANY person (or group of people) who have the courage and determination to rise up in resistance to an agressor must suffer the stigma of being labelled 'Scum, Savage, Terrorist and suchlike.

Does it never occur to anyone that those who oppose a mightier force, often display a greater degree of courage than those who impose their might ?.

One can hardly expect a handful of 'Patriots' to stand toe to toe with the overwhelming forces of an interloper or oppressor.

Such smaller forces are obliged (by the very fact that they are less well equipped) to resort to hit and run tactics, should they opt for a full confrontational engagement, they would last five minutes.

Sadly we would then have nothing to argue about other than what our new masters were holding in store for us all.

Long life and Good Luck to all those brave men who struggle against oppression, may there sons and daughters never forget the sacrifices their forefathers made for them and may 'Right' overcome 'Might' in years to come.

This is the kind of irrelevant question you'd ask if you left Cyprus sometime in the 50s or 60s.

I know this guy who returned for a holiday for the first time and was asking how the HadjiSavvas coffee shop was going... closed 3-4 decades ago!
