Didn't think you would.

Incidently, and it's a very difficult choice, I'd rather be your "mate" than dog food.

Can we get back to the subject at hand, ladies, gentlemen, and the others who don't fit into either catagory....?

People like Phoenix state quite clearly "Every Turk not born in Cyprus to Turkish Cypriots residing in the island before July 1974 gets the boot". So, if this is the case, will a welcoming hand be extended to all of those Turkish Cypriots in the diaspora to return? And if so, what about their children who were born outside of the island...?

The majority of the TCs in the dispora left as a direct or indirect result of GC hostility. That hostility is still shown by a significant number of GCs, Phoenix being one example. If GCs with that frame of mind dominated, then Akritas Plan Mark 2 would swing into action, with the ultimate aim of removing TCs from government and the island.

We don't know which type of GCs would be in the majority. That is why you would find it difficult to discover a TC wanting a unity government, which would be automatically dominated by GCs.

Utu,

I have stated several times and was not contradicted by any GCs, that TCs of the diaspora must be given substantial financial incentives to return. It is nonsense to have provisions for settlers while not having any for Cypriots. If a solution is proposed which does not deal with the settler issue it will fail, wither immediately through GC rejection or eventually through tension between TCs and settlers.

Utu,

I too find it very telling that your question focuses on TC's only. Would you reconsider your question so that it shows less bias, and in the future I hope that your sensitivities are more focused on Cypriots, whether they are of one ethnic origin or another. Otherwise, your criticism of other members of this Forum carries with it very little credibility.
