Why does Limassol need a marina ?

Postby purdey » Thu Jan 24, 2008 8:00 pm

Why is Limassol spending millions on a new marina.Tourist numbers are down and are due to fall again this year. Are they expecting an influx of millionaires ?

Tourist numbers where up this year. And revenues from tourism were even higher. What they want is to attract more quality tourists. Quality in this case means richer

I thought tourist numbers in Limassol were down ? Does the town council believe building the marina will bring in wealthier tourists. Will they continue to support the horrible tourist area or will that receive a face lift.

I don't know about limassol in particular. I think they believe that the marina will bring wealthier tourists. Why is tourist area horrible? Maybe it is just not your style but it doesn't mean is horrible!
