I seriously need to exercise and I am too top-heavy to just start running (yet).

So I need some home gym equipment as I don't want to take a car journey to get to a gym and the nearest one is 75 minutes walk away (which is exercise in itself, but would take up my whole morning to accomplish).

Where can I go to purchase some home gym equipment?

Ideally I would like a Rowing Machine and a Skier.

I can travel to any of the major towns if someone can tell me where the best shops for supplying home gym equipment are located.

Alternatively used equipment (in good order and quality) would be considered.

Many thanks all. :D

If you haven't already gone out and wasted your money then perhaps I can give you the advise a GC black belt friend of mine gave me a long time ago.......You can do everthing you want with a good sturdy, not TOOO heavy, wooden chair and the floor. Look to Pilates for inspiration as well. Forget all the equipment some try to sell you. All you need is your own body weight.

That's generally good advice but I get bored easily and with most pieces of gym equipment you can set up a book to read or something (click through forum posts  ), at the same time.

Then what you need is one of those exercise bikes that plug into your computer...If you don't peddle you can't browse....

It actually plugs into the Playstation and I think you get a few games to play like "Taxi"....

WOW ...... does it offer sample Cyprus Problem solutions too?

In two versions....With the "RoC" version, you have to peddle backwards....

OK I concede ... that's funny!

Phoenix, just the mention of 'top heavy' and exercising seems to have created a bit of a stir with the male forum members!

How do you manage the jogging? (I don't want a photo thanks).

I know of two gym equipment stores in Paphos and they seem to have a very big range of equipment. I can't recall the names right now but can find out tomorrow.

Would still like their details thanks Kafenes, if you come across them, (for future reference as I do prefer to shop local).... but I bought more than I should from a Kettler supplier in Nicosia .... including a giant "Vibrator" machine
