OK the lovely weather, relaxed living and sumptuous food and wines have started to take their toll on my weight.

I seriously need to exercise and I am too top-heavy to just start running (yet).

So I need some home gym equipment as I don't want to take a car journey to get to a gym and the nearest one is 75 minutes walk away (which is exercise in itself, but would take up my whole morning to accomplish).

Where can I go to purchase some home gym equipment?

Ideally I would like a Rowing Machine and a Skier.

I can travel to any of the major towns if someone can tell me where the best shops for supplying home gym equipment are located.

Alternatively used equipment (in good order and quality) would be considered.

If you haven't already gone out and wasted your money then perhaps I can give you the advise a GC black belt friend of mine gave me a long time ago.......You can do everthing you want with a good sturdy, not TOOO heavy, wooden chair and the floor. Look to Pilates for inspiration as well. Forget all the equipment some try to sell you. All you need is your own body weight.

That's generally good advice but I get bored easily and with most pieces of gym equipment you can set up a book to read or something (click through forum posts ), at the same time.
