Don't worry, Baghdatis is "Just saying what the UN say&

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

purdey wrote:Yes,I agree Baghdatis has been careful with what he has said, but this is not a stupid man.He has an opportunity to say no to the invite to the party. He understands full well who is inviting him and there agenda, and the media will be watching his every move.
We can all say it is our private life, but this man is a sportsman,an idol of the young, sponsered by large corporations. He has made a silly mistake, their is no room in sport for politics.
Please, also get rid of his manager.Baghdatis lost to Hewitt and the manager complained it was because of the media and public intrusion on the players life, not very sporting is it.
By the way I have seen him play live, and he is a brilliant tennis player.

But why everyone was quite when recently the US said the same thing?...ever wonder why?

Oh man me living in the past or have you ever heard of principles?...have you ever asked Markos as to what he wants?

Muhammad Ali – This man stood behind his moral and religious convictions and refused to enter the military which prompted boxing to take his heavyweight crown and bar him from boxing. He told people that he didn't believe in the war and refused to fight other poor people. He later won his belts back and is of course now considered "the greatest of all-time!"

Tiger Woods – Tiger has to be recognize, if only his game alone right now. He let the world and fellow golfers know, once again, that race has nothing to do with game; it's all about opportunity. Hopefully, as he gets older, he can start to speak and act on issues that concern minorities in the future. Becoming more vocal about the racial politics surrounding golf, Tiger remarked in a recent interview "I thought there would have been more of us now." Signs of a more politically active Tiger to come?
