I hate dubbed things in general. I prefer to watch a movie in a language I don't understand with subtitles!!

Me too. Even if it's in chinese I prefer the original with subs. Dubbing kills the acting IMO. Man it's not the same to listen to Marlon Brando in the Godfather in the original language than in spanish, french, german and so.

MOST of time..true..but there are good dubbers, too
And subtitles...the translation "word by word" sometimes unfortunately kills the esprit, the irony or simply the beauty of the language.

But...there are good subtitles, too

I have a favourite list of cartoons. Tom and Jerry, Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Road Runner, Woody Woodpecker and sometimes during the bugs bunny show, they have other cartoons like funny version of olympics or some other serious event and they portray it in a funny way.

I don't seem to like some of the newer cartoons, they are often very violent and they are quite serious sometimes. I like cartoons to be funny.

It is also absurd to note that in some countries Tom and Jerry cartoons are rated as violent!. What is going on
