Is Thompson any good? Was looking at a 37" LCD with full HD for 990 Euros in Hadjikyriacos.

Hazza, that's the same shop I was talking about. I compared the Thompson with the Sony 40in and Hitachi 40 in. The Sony was the best in IMO and second came the Hitachi but they were £250 more expensive. I'm wondering if they are worth the difference as HD broadcasting is very long way away and HD DVDs are scarce and need a HD DVD player to play what's available.

BTW, they will give an extra discount of around 8% if you insist. :)
