Here is what I said Eric: "the Turks created a video clip where they are calling the top athlete of Cyprus and possibly the whole region as "racist" and "thug""
The original video simply showed the events. I didn't say they Turks filmed the video. I said they created a video clip that contains accusations and swearing against out athelet. If you are not able to understand the difference between filming video and creating a video clip with your own comments on it, then the one who is stupid is non else than you.
I know how you hate it when the Cypriot flag is shown in such major events, and since you tried to politicize an event that was held in a private party, I hope Marcos will give you the answer and use his position to inform people about your illegal occupation of our country. If you thought you can intimidate him or us with such accusations then you are mistaken. You just achieved the opposite of what you were hopping.
You don't know what the feck you are talking about do you, you idiot?
Baghdatis was reported in the news for what he is, a racist and he deserved what he got and everything he will get in the future for his racist comments.
It was also not the "Cypriot flag" shown in the video, it was the Greek flag and they were singing the Greek anthem not the "Cypriot anthem". So stop your stupid lies.
BTW, have you ever thought how ATCANEWS got a hold of the video in the first place? Maybe some Greek/GC who hates Baghdatis' guts and wanted to destroy him? Well, he sure got him out of the tournament didn't he? Out goes his dream to become the champ. He was served an "ace" and he cracked under the pressure.
His name is mud and he will be remembered as a racist for the rest of his life. He dug his own grave or was stupid enough to let himself be drawn in and mix sports with politics. In other words, he was either stupid enough to allow himself to be used as a political pawn or he stupidly tried to use his "fame" to become politically involved. Either way, it's his own fault.
Actually Ricco the clown, I am from Melbourne, and the it was quite funny when the tcs were calling radio talk back shows complaining, only to be reminded, by the stations they are Cypriots and not turks...
...They simply were told the Turks out of Cyprus was not aimed at them...what a laugh...
Actually one of them asked for Mark to be deported, only to be told, that the turks are actually occupiers of his homeland and there is nothing racist about wanting them out...All this live on air...priceless
Further more a lot more Australians know about the illegal occupation of Cyprus by the turks...All thanks to all those that rang and complained...
But hey keep on whining...please...pretty please...pretty please with a cherry on top...
As far as Mark is concerned, he cleaned up with at least close to US$750,000, final at the kooyong classic and 4th round at the open...but best of all, priceless actually, putting the boot up turkeys ass...
Here read and whip ricco the clown
Baghdatis a racial scapegoat for old menBy Anita Quigley
January 19, 2008 12:00am
THOSE calling for Marcos Baghdatis to be expelled from the Australian Tennis Open - and the country - are not doing so because they feel racially vilified. They are attempting to raise old prejudices that should have been left at the immigration desk when they arrived in Australia. translation = shut the fuck up Melbourne's Turkish Cypriot community claim to be furious after Baghdatis was caught on video at a Melbourne barbecue 10months ago with Hellas Fan Club members holding a flare and allegedly chanting "Turks Out".
Having watched it (with a Greek translator), it's not even clear what he is saying.
Baghdatis, who meets Lleyton Hewitt today, does join in singing the Greek national anthem, before an unidentified person begins to call, "Turks out of Cyprus".
However, you cannot see him utter those words because his arm is in front of his mouth.
Admittedly, he is hugging the fan club's president Chris Vlahogiannis in the video, who was this week capsicum-sprayed by police and arrested at the Open.
It is unfortunate the 22-year-old ace now finds himself linked to troublemaker Vlahogiannis, but he cannot be blamed for the Melbourne man's actions. And he has not attempted to inflame any rivalries while on court. He does only what is expected of him: play good, hard tennis.
Australian Turkish Cypriot Cultural and Welfare Association president Hakki Suleyman said he received "a lot of calls" from upset members "stunned about this racist attack" which "breaches the Racial Vilification Act". I wonder what he constitutes as "a lot"?
The ugly ethnic rivalries that raise their heads at Australian sporting events are as predictable as they are irrelevant.
Not to mention tiresome for 99.9 per cent of fans there for the game.
When you become a professional sportsman you have to be careful about what you say.
If this young man didn't appreciate this before, I hope he does now,
but equally he is entitled to be patriotic about his homeland without fear of old men, with old axes to grind, using him as their scapegoat.http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,23 ... 46,00.html
Ricco the clown you have been turkey slapped...once again
