Sadly it's beyound the control of the forum ~~ it's the image hosting site ~ the same happended on the Cyprus eastern site and I believe Cyprus living .

You will notice it selects "girls" in your particular area as it locates you from your IP adress.

The only way to stop it is for the forum owner to find an alternative image hosting.

Did anyone know that the images posted in the "what you look like thread" that link to the photo hosting site have the words "meet hot women in Lemesos" above the image and this links to a sex and swinging site!

My pic, Lena's pic, Hazza's pic.... didn't try them all! I am not happy about this to say the least!!! I thought this forum would be better than this!

By the way, the issue isn't a matter of trust as far as the Cyprus Forum goes. Anybody can come, swipe the images we post and use them as they please. It's happened to other people I know.

Thats right. If you post a picture or any information about you anywhere online then the whole world can take it an use it! Just think of what happens with songs. They put a ton of copyrights and protections on them but still once they are online everybody can find them very easily for free!

The Admin could said something here even if its not his fault as few members mention...its his forum...

While ago i felt this forum close to me...i felt like i was talking to friends etc...ok I admit that i lost contact with reality that this is a public forum and we shared info about our selves, post our photos etc...few months ago...somebody put the idea in my head (and I really want to thank him) that this forum is not as innocent as i thought it was and i learn several things...not so good ones.

I joined and find this forum really good one, with great people who want to chat and help each other...I earn great friends from here and got helped in some matters and the opposite...and now we come up to the point that lots of swearing going on to the point that people want to leave the forum...some of the threads that they ask for help pass by without any posts...members who create several accounts, members who threaten others or interfere into there lives...and now this...our photos are in sex web sites

It's the pics that use the forum image hosting, not the pics where people used their own hosts.

It's not admins fault, they did tell me there was no way they can control this. It would be worth admin finding another more reliable host however, if one exists?

Hello,

In the next forum upgrade sometime this year our forum will natively support image attachments and a third party hosting service will not be required. Simply changing the image hosting provider would not be very helpful as the forum would still have no control over the attached images.

Lena, the forum is today what it has always been. We use this particular image service since November 2005 and we always have some problems with members that act unfriendly. Sometimes we have a few more of them, sometimes less.
