Are there any lakes, damns, or any large volume of water where I could run a remote control boat?
It's petrol powered and would need about a soccer field space give or take. It can run in the sea but long drive + in the sea can only do it in summer

There are no lakes in Cyprus

They should have some small dams in Nicosia district but I don't think very near to the city.

Have you tried Athalassas Park? There's a not terribly big lake there. Bigger than a bathtub though!

There are little dams and thus "lakes" all over the island but find a spot where there's no bird nesting grounds etc.
