Well there I was on the balcony in my boxer shorts early this morning ( not a pretty sight) and after having a good old scratch I reflected on the lack of rain and what a beautiful day it was .

And guess what ~~ it's still a beautiful and sunny day here ~ plenty of clouds over to the West though  ~~ looks like it's raining in Limassol

To rain for weeks? If it rains for 1 week like today there will be a major disaster. There is no drainage system, no water management at all... Did anyone see what happened in Petrou kai Pavla area in Limassol today? There was a proper 6 meter wide river, 20-30cm in depth which caused traffic chaos in the area...

Did it rain in the hills?

Postby Tim Drayton » Wed Jan 16, 2008 4:57 pm

There was plenty of rain this morning in the town of Limassol.
Can anybody tell me if there was much rain higher up, above the dams? The rain down here does not do much good, unfortunately.
