I agree that '12 angry men' is a great film. I can't think at the moment of a film which reflects the forum, but I can think of a game - I know it by an English name called 'Whack-a-rat', you often see it in fun fairs or school fetes, though I'm sure it goes by other names as well.
Basically you have a board or box full of many holes [FORUM], up through which the head of a 'rat' pops up [FORUM POSTERS]. The rats head pops up just for a second or so, randomly appearing in different holes [DIFFERENT TOPICS]. The aim of the game [FORUM PARTICIPATION] is that the contestant, armed with a hammer or large wooden mallet [ABUSIVE POSTINGS] has to hit the rat before it disappears from the hole. The more rats you hit the more points you get; and what do points mean ? Prizes !!!
The thing with 'whack a rat' is that it rewards persistence and endurance in an ultimately pointless game. It also rewards instinct and speed over thought and consideration. But more than anything else, it leads the contestant to believe that the more rats they whack and the quicker they can whack them the more likely they will win - what they 'win' is irrelevant, that the rats will re-appear eternally for the next contestants is also irrelevant to the vigour with which the contestant whacks his rats. It is all replayed, time after time after time.
