The EU does not mess about with these things. If you do not do it you get fined. Now if the power comes from Turkey and we also have the conventional power generators in the south and a whole bunch of solar/wind plants Cyprus will be energy heaven. Add to that the oil that will be discovered in the sea and we are all destined to drive gold plated Mercedes Benzes it seems. I want a white one, four door, automatic, a/c and sunroof please.
We could have all that with two republics on the island and a perceived safe area for tourists and investors...Why aren't we doing that???????? As I said...Not viable politically.
