Will you then say thank you?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

  Will there be a lot of sore heads the next morning if they do

I believe the only reason they didn't before is because they were not sure which way the Cyprob would go. Who is going to invest 400 million when they don't know if the "RoC" is going to kick them out. Could this be a sign that something more positive is happening for the TRNC and partition is on the cards. It could just be another bluff of course but don't dismiss it too quickly. If partition is on the cards then an investment like that would be viable for any company.

I think it would be viable which ever settlement we go for. A settlement is a settlement, sell the power to neighbours or share it with our 'compatriots' (Cypriots).

I don't think it would Deniz. In business terms yes but not in political terms.

At knock down prices that they then sell on as their own

Really though...How difficult would they make it for a, as they see it, hostile country to hold that much power (Excuse the pun) in their hands. Taking profits out of a business that Tpap could easily give the rights to, to his son

If and when this undersea extension cord gets going, how will that affect the EU imposed obligation to produce 20 per cent of RoC power through renewables?

The EU does not mess about with these things. If you do not do it you get fined. Now if the power comes from Turkey and we also have the conventional power generators in the south and a whole bunch of solar/wind plants Cyprus will be energy heaven. Add to that the oil that will be discovered in the sea and we are all destined to drive gold plated Mercedes Benzes it seems. I want a white one, four door, automatic, a/c and sunroof please.
