It is awful to say it but you do become immune to stray cats and seeing the many victims on the roads. The stray cats are a total nuisance with our own 2 cats we brought from the UK and often hurt them with their fighting (natural instinct I know but it still doesn't help). If we fed them they would take over.

I began by feeling so sorry for them being a cat and animal lover but as time goes on here the sympathy becomes less. It is true also that if you become known as cat lovers, locals drop off unwanted cats and kittens on your doorstep.

i can think of far worse things than to be known as the cat lady, and end up caring for a gazzillion cats.
some of my best friends are cats, and sometimes i think i would not be here now if not for cats. i do not believe i could ever be immune from too many cats.....

I know GG and I do respect you for this, I just can't with kids, work and a landlord that had already been very patient

that is understandable Niki, and that is why there needs to be a plan , and someone like me to help impliment it, to make the stray problem less of a problem....

You're right GG, move here and sort it out!! It won't be a Cypriot person that does it, the perspective is different.

he already knows about my love of animals. he does not know my plan (wish) is to marry him, move to CY and help get the cat population problem under control. you are right there, i shouldn't tell him.

GG technically we only have a cease fire...some have been clear in the RoC but not in the North...

GG technically we only have a cease fire...some have been clear in the RoC but not in the North...

technically you have a cease fire? and if they are in the north and the south, then both parties put them there? why would anyone use land mines. i don't get it. it sounds so third world, and CY does not strike me anything near third world.
