I've heard a lot of good arguments that its not.

Recognition will not come anytime soon TCs are not stupid but this year a relaxation of the isoaltion in return for Turkey opening her ports will materialize.

you think we value Turkish ports that much?

4 billion dollars worth, thought you understood business.

We do and by simple maths its not as much as the money we'll lose if you get a working airport

Its called compromise a word probably not in the GC dictionaries. The impasse will be resolved and you guys will have to play ball, as a big slap is on the way from the EU and US.

this big slap another one of your postgrad theories?

Why would we compromise on an issue which we've already given all we can give. Get it through your head, a bi-zonal federation is the last compromise we're ever going to do.

Why should this so called isolation be lifted when you have the opportunity from numerous proposals to trade via the legitimate ports of the island? half your countrymen are already using Larnaca airport so whats the problem there?

You will have no choice, it will be negotiated with the big players in the EU and you will be told what to do, for fun please do try to oppose and just watch the backlash from EU nations, you are already the black sheep of the group you can always live upto your intrangent reputation and prove them right in labelling you a non EU philospical people.

Larnaka is a foreign airport just like Izmir and Ankara, run by GCs, a level playing field is now the name of the game. The relaxation will come and you will be one unhappy inividual.

Its the same for other countries that have borders, you drive accrossand fly from the sirport of your choice. We want a level playing field why do you want us to accept pure GC rule? you have a GC state run by GCs for GCs we are foreigners there and treated as such.

actually you're not treated as foreigners. You pay no taxes, do no national service and provide nothing to the society in the govt controlled area yet you are provided with free health care, benefits and EU citizenship.

Cue VP...yes but if you don't give us that you wn't be able to claim you arethe govt of the whole of Cyprus.

Cue DT yeah but if you accept that then you also accept that the ROC is the govt of the whole of Cyprus.

Cue VP....remember 63

Cue DT....still hangover from 74

Cue...you kicked my dog

...you killed my parrot.

thought i'd break the monotony

Exactly we will never agree on anything, chalk and cheese, oil and water, why not accept this and move on , fully compensating all refugees. Division is the only real solution as a forced marriage will result in more tears.

I don't think we should drag down the rest of the population and put this down to personal incompatibility between us....something you seem to be getting a lot these days from both GC's and TC's.
