My one popped early this morning, a loud bang. Changed the power supply on it, but still can't get it to work. Anyone fancy taking a look to see if they can sort it out for me? I have a feeling its taken out the Motherboard and Graphics card, though need confirmation of that if possible.

Cheers.

I'm in Larnaca, can see your computer if you still need it 99347328

Hi Mars,

I've taken the HDD out of the machine now in order to put it in my new one. Would you still be able to test to see if its fixable and also costs? Its a decent enough machine (AMD 3800+ processor, ASUS motherboard) so if thats fixable without costing too much, then I can order a new monitor and use it in a LAN network here.

I can test it with your CPU on the motherboard,e.g. in your first fault situation. I never take too much, only take for the final result

Hi mars, expect a phone call within the next day or 2.

Computer arrived, HP. Must get used to Vista Business now. Think I'll install XP on a partition to fall back on something :D

go back to xp hazza it's far better than vista... if you have a spare harddrive do a back up once you have your system how you like it... then if it stuffs up again you'll be able to instal all the data you had before on the new machine..

Hi Paul. Before the old machine popped, I had the hdd partitioned on a 500Gb SATA drive. All my important stuff is on that, which will be easy enough to retrieve. Have worked with Partitions for god knows how many years, so most stuff is ok.

What I really want is the other machine up and running to use for downloads whilst using this one for everything else.

Already want to upgrade the graphics card and RAM....and its only a few hours old :D

Hi, it's me again. :D
Anyone from Limassol? Does anyone know a good computer service center? I've got my laptop to some service center 2 weeks ago and they haven't even ordered the needed replacement parts. This is unacceptable.
I'm interested in a place where they can repair IBM's Lenovo laptops.

Thank you very much.

P.S. This is starting to become frustrating.
