Is here an election soon???

Have they decided what this bi-zonal, bi-communal thing is supposed to look like in the "RoC" yet???????

Tassos: we are in better position to solve division
PRESIDENT Tassos Papadopoulos said yesterday Cyprus was now in a stronger position to pursue a solution to the Cyprus issue.

Speaking at a lunch for foreign media correspondents in Nicosia, Papadopoulos said that through past initiatives: “I think we are now in a stronger position to pursue a solution to the Cyprus problem, which the people of Cyprus deserve and which I think is the only way of ensuring the reunification of our country.”

“Reunification for us means the reunification of the society, of the territory, of the institutions and the economy. No country can be called a unified country unless these four pillars coexist.”

Papadopoulos reaffirmed his commitment to a bi-zonal, bi-communal federation, saying it was the declared and the agreed principle in the agreement he signed with Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat in July 2006.

“This agreement is supported by the Security Council, all the five permanent members and by the recent European Union conclusions,” he said.

The question is though: what is HIS definition of bi-zonal and bi-communal? In other words, what concessions is he willing to make, and what concessions are expected by him from the north?

Election talk and nothing else zan. After the election, if TPapdope wind and I hope to God he does, it'll be back to the same way it is now because we all know what a liar TPapadope is and that he never keeps his word.

If there was such an agreement with Talat, I'm sure TPapadope would have announced it long ago to make himself look like the good guy and ensure he wins the elections. He is lying through his clenched teeth until after he wins the elections and will spread the around that Turkey has "forced" Talat to go back on his word.

We all know that TPapadope is a compulsive liar so I don't believe a word he says. Mind you, neither does anyone else.
