The people who ordered the spying cited national interest and historically antagonistic relations with the spied on countries as their reason. I dont think Cyprus is being treated any differently by the British services.

Really, if Britain was willing to let us be independent why did it not let us go peacefully like it did in the case of Malta? Why did Eden tell us that Cyprus would never be independent and thus made violence the only way out?

p.s ,,,some of my students who are at UNI ,,,,invited them down .,,.well about 15-20 of them and we had a chat .,,,they got upset ,,,,but i told them about the real world and benefits of U.K /U,S AND THE NEGATIVES
