North Cyprus i'll see you soon

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

North Cyprus i'll see you soon

Postby Harry » Sat Mar 26, 2005 8:44 am

My parents both Greek Cypriots, got married in Cyprus. They had a plan to come to America for a few years, so my father could work while a house was being built in North Cyprus. They got stuck in America as refugees. I went to school here and grew up having a good life. I never visited Cyprus till the age of 25. It's a beautiful country like they told me in only stories. During the time I was there, there was no crossing the line. My mother and sister visited the North in 2003 and brought home some pictures and videos. I haven't gone to the North yet, but I will soon. My father passed away in 1999 before he even heard the news of crossing over the checkpoints. His dream was to go back one day, but you know how life works sometimes.

Harry,

People like Deejay, want us to visit our own country like tourists. They want to keep what they stole from us. Such people are criminal thieves.

Deejay, I don't need your "welcoming". I will come to the north of my own country sooner or later without it. Either when a peaceful solution comes that will re-unite the island or when I will come to put a bullet in the head of those like you that believe that the Cyprus problem can be solved with violence and ethnic cleansing.

How can we steal something that was already ours??? together but couldnt share, the property division is a secondery issue, lives and well being are paramount, when will you attempt to understand this.

Under the current circumstances you are welcomed in Northern Cyprus under what ever name you want to mentally believe you are or if you do not want to visit that is your perocative.

Piratis,
what is this, man? I'm sure you understand that THIS IS HOW IT ALL STARTED! Had there been no violence, in the first place, we might still be here talking, just like we are now, but we would have saved ourselves the dead people - much better, imo.
I might want the US to collapse, too, because of their imperialistic attitude, but that gives me no right to fly planes into buildings packed with innocent civilians! Does it? So, Osama killed 5000 innocent Americans. What did that solve?

unfortunately because most americans are too stupid to understand international relations it didn't solve much.

i think what piratis meant is that if you want violence then i will give you violence. i dont really agree with that because im assuming (and hoping) that people like deejay are few out there.

Pirati re, I know where you're coming from with this one, I think DJ's attitude is quite passe too, but he's entitled to it. Nonetheless, this whole ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage attitude you're displaying has to stop man... it doesn't get us anywhere.

But why should love stop at the border?

There is no border. There is cease fire line between the free Cyprus and the occupied part.

Have Americans ever forced any political group in any country to be pro-US, pro-western, pro-Nato and anti-USSR? Why don't you try to see the other side of the madallion as well? Who invites "imperiallist" or allies. Who invites international capitalist companies to invest in their country? One of the most addicted is DESI, I'm sure. We should stop putting the balame on the others. If you don't want trouble caused by others, don't invite the others to defend you. Just solve your problem with the ones whom you have the problem.

Aaah...here is another new yet "brilliant" theory: that the homes and properties of all the GC refugees were "co-owned" by you.
