To all those TC's who have seen fit to take their best shot at me tonight as well as any other times for my expression of the situations that has to do with the "TRNC" and Cyprus problems in general, I would like to refer you all to an old Turkish proverb, which is "Dogruyu söyleyeni 9 köyden kovarlar".

Because all you do here is just argue and confront TCs man. You think you're doing right because you're helping the GCs from those who in your opinion want too much. Fine. But why act like a total ignoramus when the GCs are doing the same thing? You completely ignore them when they want too much or even when they're being blatantly racist. And then when people don't want to mix with them you're like "YOU RACISTS"

And thats just one example.

It's not because of what Piratis said either. Piratis generalised the whole TC community by what he reads from nationalist TCs. It's shocking what some of them think about us and how do we know how many of them there are? People like Piratis don't trust us at all and in return he expects us to trust him! He wants us to give up EVERYTHING like Turkeys guarantee, our rights from the constitution...and to top it off he claims this is more "democratic". Using democracy as an excuse for a majority to vote away a minorities rights!

The kind of "unification" Piratis wants is just as insulting to me as the TCs one is for GCs. "Unifying" and then watching the majority vote your rights away in the name of democracy is not very "unifying". And if it was upto Piratis (whos probably a clone of Papadopulous) this is how it would be! And this is OK and he gets to put his opinions accross while you tip toe around him without hassle and the TCs can't?

Anyways, bravo to everyone who cast their sins away...at least people tried!

In a normalised situation there will be TC Eurodeputies, TC members int he permanent mission of Cyprus at the EU, TCs as part of the Cyprus mission to the Council of Europe.Now if in such a situation you can still talk of the Akritas plan you are stuck way back in the last century. What you did was take a man who has had enough and wants to get on with his life and provide for his family, just like the GCs have done while he sits and waits for a solution, with the embargoes, and sully his name in your quest for attacking the TCs.

No no no Zan, I'm talking about a man who bought a lot of GC land at £20 a donum and said they were worth £3,000 per donum now, as well as living in a GC house. Everything he told me regarding GC land, how the the AP was voted on the plan only and not for peace, the "TRNC" tells the world what they want to hear, but in reality they want partition and so on and so on. Funny enough, at the time you and VP made him out to be "Roger the Rabbit" that he did not exist, but as time went by, VP grew bolder and repeated everything what the cousin's husband said. Again Zan, I did not attack or accuse any TC refugees living in GC homes, but rather the Partitionist, who would at all cost would see the island divided permanently, and to my thinking, it was not so much about security, but rather it was all about MONEY.

It didn't help that Greek Cypriots thought that union with Greece was the only way to achieve their freedom and they didn't consider the fears of TCs.

It didn't help that some Greek Cypriots even after independence continued to be Greek nationalists instead of Cypriot nationalists.

It didn't help that Greek Cypriots didn't try more to make RoC work as it should.

Unless we manage to strip all this propaganda shit from our minds, and learn to look at our problem objectively and with empathy and compassion,we have no chance of finding a fair,lasting ,and peaceful solution.

Bir, you are missing one very important point here. Some people don't want a fair solution because they believe that they can get more than their fair share on the loss of others. Also they don't want compassion since it is conflict and hate between the two sides which serves their aim of partition.

T_C the democracy I want is exactly the same as it exists in all other real democracies. And no, I don't include Turkey in them, so I didn't ask for TCs to be treated in the way that Kurds are threated in Turkey.

I am talking about a real democracy, where one of the elements is majority rule, but it also includes minority rights and also Guarantee of basic human rights.

What is insulting is your demands that the north part of Cyprus which is the homeland of 5 times more Greek than Turkish Cypriots should become Turkish, and that Cypriots should be discriminated based on their ethnic background.
