Now that the forum has managed to ally Jehavah's Witnesses with Islam in that they are both mentioned in the same topic and labelled troublemakers, would it not be a good idea if members were to consider the fact that both of these are genuinely concerned with spreading the message of love and good will among us ?.
We, who are of little or no faith (I include myself among them), have just celebrated the festive season, many, (like myself), have passed the time indulging our own hedonistic pleasures totally oblivious to the suffering of those less fortunate than we.
To those who spread what they deem to be "The Message" or "The Good News", we hedonists must fill them with disgust, we should all realize that fact and at least try to present ourselves worthy of our own opinions.
By treating them with such ignorance (actually boasting about it), are we not displaying the fact that they are actually superior to us ?, after all, as far as they are concerned , they are offering us a priceless gift, should we not have the good manners to decline their offer without resorting to base insults ?.
Ultimately, if there are such entities as a God and a Devil, we should at least hedge our bets, Tony Blair has done so, if we refrain from insult, we may at least gain some favour in the "Hereafter", if such a place exists, meanwhile, can we not show a little respect to our fellow man, whatever their religious beliefs ?, not such a difficult thing to do if we take the time to think about it. Happy New Year and Good Will to all men.

If it makes them a good person, thats fine with me. But I will not tolerate them trying to 'convert'/'salvage my soul'.

dinos here i tend to disagree with u we are not criticizing ur religion because our religion doesnt allow us this.there are few points put forward by us to discuss how come it is critical if u think points are baseless explain them and we move forward how people can come closer when they dont know eachother.our whole effort is of understanding eachothers point of view and discussion is the only solution.few of our comments might fall in the boundries of criticism just becuse we have been forced by few members on the forum to react the way we shouldnt have.like allegations of different kinds without proof and despite giving replies counter allegations and repetioin of allegation.

I'm not painting you into any corners and do not protest any reactions to comments that are poorly motivated. That said, I don't have a problem with you that requires any solution. You do what you do and I'll do what I do. But if you really want me to believe that you're seeking a comparative endeavor, then you (and/or others) shouldn't present your philosophy as the "truth" (as was done in other threads) because that implies that everybody else is wrong and puts them on the defensive.

I may be the voice of ignorance in the matter (or whatever people want to call it) but there's enough horsecrap in Christianity to deal with - I don't need to further complicate my life with the horsecrap in Islam too. There really isn't anything else to discuss in the matter as far as I'm concerned.

i dont know how much you know about true Islam but your attitude reflects that you are one more among millions in the world who have misunderstood the Religion of Islam.

Islam is not just religion like other religion but Islam is the perfect way of life. it teaches to respect others, Love parents, Heaven under the feet of mother. Prophet PBUh curse on those who's parents reach in old age and he fails to earn deed by looking after to enter heaven. it teaches us to love your numbers. 40 houses arround are your neighbor. No muslim is a muslim if he sleeps with full stomach and his neighbor sleeps hungry.

it teaches us tolrance,patient,forgiveness and ignore others mistake and love others

i welcome any religious scholar to come and prove me that if their religion is better than my religion, i will convert but they should have prove. when i know 2+2= 4 . i welcome any mathematician to come and prove me wrong and why you lose patience. if you think you are right just listen them and produce your prove that you are on the right path

STOUT , I am BRITISH, born of BRITISH parents in BRITAIN I am not a Frog as you so rudely referred to the French People as, I was Brought up to be repectful of all people and to treat others the way I would like to be treated.
My education although not at University has served me well. The One thing here in France which I have noticed is how dignified and polite everyone is and how friendly to newcommers.

I walked away from the Moslem dominated link because it offended me, and now it is back. So yet again I will walk away.
