CYPRIOTNESS HAD TO BE DESTROYED.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

CYPRIOTNESS HAD TO BE DESTROYED.

Postby Stout » Mon Dec 31, 2007 1:04 am

For want of a better word Cypriotness will suffice.
A peaceful Island such as Cyprus was in days not so long past, where the two communities co-existed and gained a reputation for friendliness and hospitality throughout the world and could be envied for such, became the target for the western powers, solely due to it's geographical location.
The prospect of a peaceful island amidst the turmoil of the Middle East would be unthinkable.
How to do it ?,EASY, stir up the usual well rehearsed political manoeuvre of highlighting religious differences and instigate unrest.
The groundwork was completed many years prior to the actual invasion of the Turkish forces, Cyprus is now a military base for several mighty nations and will have to remain so.
Whatever solution is found to the current situation, one thing is for sure, the people of Cyprus will have no say in it.

Its not right . Leons have killer in their blood and they have to kill . Humans are the worst animals . and as long as we will not become humanist (not human) then the blood running in their bodys will force them to fight .

Not so my friend, the fact that our forefathers lived in harmony and created the reputation that existed in Cyprus negates your comments.

Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots had a long history of brotherhood before they became the tools and targets of the politicians.

My friend, the ordinary peoples of the world are entirely blameless for the wars we have witnessed and lived through.
It is the manner in which they are manipulated that causes conflict.
No ordinary family on the face of the earth , wishes to see the destruction of others of their like, the instigators of war profit from their actions, those who fight gain nothing and lose everything.

In Cyprus you have 2 types of people...

1...Cypriots that experienced co-existence
2...Cypriots that haven't

If you are in the first group then you can understand co-existence and if you are from the second group then you question co-existence...

Personally at a young age I experienced co-existence and for that I am gratefull, knowing the meaning of Cypriotness
