The Greek Cypriots will become minority in their own country

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I am new to this forum, I would have thought that the purpose of discussion was to resolve differences, I can see little value in hurling insults at each other.
I am the son of a dis-possessed family, I have struggled to make sense of the situation that now exists in the land of my forefathers which at one time was an example of friendliness and hospitality to the whole world.
I do not think it is the fault of the people that my homeland is now divided, it is the fault of those who were entrusted with it's affairs.
Must we now threaten to kill and maim each other on account of the evils perpetrated by those we trusted ?, is that not precisely what they seek ?.
Arguing about what liars have said will resolve nothing, it will only enhance their positions.
If we cannot respect Mothers, we can respect nothing, don't you agree gentlemen ?.

What we can do here, where only virtual punches can be thrown, is to ignore gender when that gender does not behave like the mother you portray. If she is to throw around insults then she should expect to some back but I do hope she washes her hands after her assassinations and before she handles the babies...It is her hands that are covered in blood and she should not set foot in the arena if she is expected to be treated as a mother., especially if she is wearing full military uniform. There are mothers here that have their say in a motherly way and are respected for that...She has a pair of socks in her trousers and is acting like a man so who is to care........Besides...You have read my opinion on why she is here and that makes taking the gloves off more important. I have asked that people do not fall for her tricks and hope that I get through.......The truth is more important than winning pointless points against her.

Your reference to the truth is an interesting in-road to it's discovery zan.
Would you say that the once friendly neighbours of both the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot residents of Cyprus, suddenly decided to rise up and slaughter each other, or would you agree that there must have been a hidden political or military agenda which required it ?.

If you can accept the latter, the reasons become obvious and the situation we have today is the result of those reasons.
If we, the people, are able to agree on the fact that our forefathers were manipulated in order to achieve the hidden agendas, why are we now so determined to uphold them ?.
What should concern us is what is now happening to the remnants of the torn society of Cyprus, the island is now becoming the island of hate, shame really, it was always known as the island of love.
Do not rely too much on the twisted words of the politicians, they are the harbingers of any evil yet to come to Cyprus, the door has been opened a crack for the Jews, once they get their foot in you can kiss solutions good-bye.

I will save the whole quote for when Birkibrisli starts his attack on the decent people of TC race but a quote from Glafcos Chlerides' memoirs states:

"Just as the GCs preoccupation was that Cyprus should be a Greek Cypriot State, with a protected TC minority, the Turkish preoccupation was to defeat any such effort".....

You are right in thinking that people do not just up and kill each other.....The rest about UK and any other decisions do not matter in such a case because they only used what was at hand.....The series of events shows he culprits and the defenders in this...If ENOSIS was not sought then the rest was not possible.
