I'm very surprised that you haven't heard about it because it has caused a mass diplomatic incident with many countries incensed by such medieval barbarism, it seems nothing has changed in Afghanistan where the islamic church rules and any slight indiscretion results in sentence of death.

This is a missuse of the word modesty, it would be easier to believe that they were trying to hide their ugliness, flat chested, knock knees and fat arses.
Question:- are they allowed to wear sunglasses if they're boss-eyed?
I find nowhere in the Concise Oxford Dictionary where modesty means covering oneself from head to toe.
