And the answer to this ‘misery’ is to cover up from head to toe?

You don’t think that for one tiny, tiny second a woman has a right to wear what she pleases, do what she pleases and go where she pleases without being attacked?

You think it is okay for men to attack women because they dress immodestly?

Perhaps women should never be allowed out – that would solve the problem and reduce the statistics to zero?

My friend, you have just proven that you and your religion are still in the Dark Ages.

again dear cyprus grump trying to make conclusions which were not meant to be taken out from example whole point u r trying to stress is that i support some one attacking women if she is dressed up immodestly.what i said b4 as well which ur not getting is that this is one of the many preventive measures to stop such an act.how come u make such conclusions difficult to understand.anyway islam has taken europeans out of dark ages how it can take some one to these dark ages back.

But why does your religion believe that such draconian preventative measures should be necessary?

Cyprus grump,
Women in Muslim countries are not allowed to go out on their own and are always escorted by some male family spy to prevent them lookin at the male talent (if there is any in a muslim state) and to keep them "pure"!

Yuk, the whole system stinks and why western european governments even granted permission for any Muslim to be granted residency in the first instance just beggers belief.

"Islam"..... "Made by males to control females"

I have read them and it still makes no sense to me. I find the man/woman discrimination unacceptable. In my world I have always been equal with men I know at home and at work. I have also seen that Muslim men I have met have been no better behaved than other men towards women.

Despite the fact I don't agree with many aspects of your religion I understand we will never agree so I wish you and your family a Happy New Year Rajput.

Because, quite simply you are punishing the victim! It is a ridiculous standpoint and the one which you remember used as justification for it!

I own two nice cars and a motorbike – should I scratch and deface them to prevent anybody wanting to steal them? Of course not!
