I am a Greek speaking Cypriot, who up until recently was living in a dream of a united Cyprus and held the idealistic view that we can live together with the Turks. After having been on this forum for sometime now and faced with discrimination and abuse by the Turks, I am urging all Cypriots to pressure the only recognised government of Cyprus to give the Turks their 18% of the land they are asking for in order to get their recognition. I do not want to live in a place where if a Turks does something its okay but if the same discrimination is perpetrated on the Turk all hell breaks loose. I cannot live with people who support selling off my home and my country to everyone under the sun and do not allow me to return.

I am happy in that 18.4% if they take my ancestral home ...... if only they just get out of my face.

Humanist we can't let them win with their "pester power". They are like toddlers, greedy, selfish and demanding (except for my son that is, I got all the advice, but didn't need to use it on him, bless

).

We have to withhold what they are demanding, because like blackmailers they will be back for more once they have outgrown their bit.

Nope, it's the naughty step for them!

Isolation and ignoring are the treatments they deserve until they grow up and realise, if only for their own self-respect, they cannot go around stealing other kids' toys.

Phoenix .... I just want the racists and hypocrites out of my face. They can have 18.4% as far as am concerned and the head acehs that will come with it.

Sometimes giving a child a toy is the best way to avoid the tantrum. Phoenix am over it and the hell with them.

I was no different to you when I joined the forum. I wanted to get to know my distant cousins, my compatriots a little better and prepare myself for a life of peace and tranquility in my beloved Cyprus.

Instead the dream soon turned into a nightmare and reality set in. So welcome to my world Humanist.

As for you not being able to return to your home, I'm sorry for this but there are certain changes due in 2008 and you should not give up hope.

Thank you for your generous offer of 18.4% but we will take a rain-check on that for now.

Really Humanist . . . do you believe if they think they have won so easily they will stop at 18.4%?

of course you will take a rain check - a turk is never satisfied right? you have invaded pillaged and raped now you want all of it. you know what mate you can have it. I went there just recently and although the residents in our home have maintained it and tried to beautify and I thanked them for that .... I felt as empty as ever. I don't want to live among you. Thanks for the encouragement but you can have the bloody house. The problem is you don't stop there. You want more.

Humanist are you sure you're gay? I know some very nice gay people and they tend to be tolerant, understanding and accommodating.

If you are indeed gay you don't sound and behave like one, in fact I think you are a nasty piece of shit.
