I do not want to live in a place where if a Turks does something its okay but if the same discrimination is perpetrated on the Turk all hell breaks loose. I cannot live with people who support selling off my home and my country to everyone under the sun and do not allow me to return.

I am happy in that 18.4% if they take my ancestral home ...... if only they just get out of my face.

Humanist the situation is much more complex than that.

There are many people who join this forum and think by doing so they will understand their compatriots and expect to fill themselves with hopes they can live together and prosper in a loving and caring environment.

How many times have we heard silly comments in this forum from TCs saying "even the thought of living with the likes of Kifeas, Piratis, Phoenix etc scares me. No,no, no I don't want to live with such people". You sound exactly like them mate.

Joining this forum only means to understand there are pending issues between the TCs and GCs. As long as these pending issues continue to exist we will be verbally fighting, accusing, threatening, and hating in this forum. And many of us will think "oh no, better separate than together with such people"

There is a problem hre in Cyprus because both we and the TCs have mde fatal mistakes. Because both us and them acted illegally. Because both us and them got in the shit hole and we don't know to come out of it.

The current situation is that the TCs are so messed up with Turkey their only hope to get rid of it and secure their presence in Cyprus (and us secure not losing 37% of our country) is to find a solution with us. The solution seems extremely difficult today because of 33+ years of embeded interests in the occupied and also some embeded interests in our side.

You have to read between the lines of what TCs write, nobody is that bad as you think, even people who say it clearly they want partition.

It makes me laugh hearing people in here constantly trying to draw conclusions as to how their life will be living with the other community.I am always at the verge of telling those people, well "if this is what you think, then what's the point of writing in this forum? You already made up your mind so hat the hell are you doing here?"

My personal opinion is that both us an the TCs have rights in this place. We (and only we) can try to get those rights back. If we succeed then fine. If we all take our rights back then we will live together like true compatriots, and we are very much similar believe me to feel like brothers.

No matter how extremely difficult this task is I will never personally fall in this trap of accusing my compatriots of being bad, cunning, hateful, persons. It just happened my friend, we are all victims of circumstances. People are people, we the GCs could well be in the position of TCs and vice versa. We are all confused, that' all.

I hope you revise your pessimism in wanting partition. It's one thing to say partition is the way we are heading and there is nothing we can do about it, and another to want it and go for it, because we came to false conclussions on the character of our compatriots.

Wise words Pyro, and let us not forget that 40% do not want a 2 state solution as the current poll showed in the north...We need to atleast convince with the help of these 40% the other 30%, minus the 30% settlers that this is the only way to go...
