How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Thanks to our last prime minister I feel more excluded from the austrlian community today than I did 25 years ago when I was just a kid who never contributed to the Australian community/ society.

Back to Cyprus ...... what minority rights might they be. One for one vote that sounds like equality to me. Rightly so, why should someone of a minority group be given the opportunty to become president if they have good political ideology and backing.

Humanist, you being an immigrant and refer to as such, it does not make Australia a fascist state...Compare turkey with Australia or any other civilised country and then you get to know what a fascist state is...

Now back to Cyprus...If partition occurs, do not forget that a lot of gcs will be pissed off...this won't translate to happy times for the tcs...I can assure of this...Think a ahead man...

Sometimes I try to imagine Cyprus with an international frontier running across it. Not check points and meek stuff like that, but a full scale international border. How life would be on either side of it without the pretense we are one etc, with each side going full speed ahead with its own agenda.

Actually, there is according to current maps international boardes marked in Cyprus. I'm not referring to the Green Line. I'm referring to the Sovereign Base Areas. The Green line does not show at all on the topographical maps of Cyprus.

Relax...nothing is gonna happen in 2008...Turkey fucked them, the tcs, as well...In 2003, they had it all had the given access to the US to invade IRAQ...What does that tell you?

Turkey's road map is the EU and nothing is gonna stop them, even if it means screwing the tcs...

By the way, if there is going to be a Turkish Cypriot state made up of 18% of the island, where and what land percentages would be assigned to the Marionite Cypriots and the Armenian Cypriots? I understand that their numbers are not inconsiderable...

You guys have now woken up to the reality of issue, welcome to my world, the real world, I arrived just after the referendum.

Humanist is right agreed division for return of land is the only way forward, the % distribution can be agreed after an independent court has heard all the evidence regarding land misuse in the 1940s 1950s and 1960s, then a % can be taken of those GCs who do not want to give up their land in the TRNC state and are willing to live under TC administration finally producing the land distribution between the 2 states. Sounds fair to me, what do you all say?.
