Greek "Settlers"

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Piratis » Thu Jan 03, 2008 4:58 pm

No Cooperline.

When you have two opposing and conflicting sides, independent is somebody who is not part of either side, who is not affiliated with either side, who does not have financial, political or other interests to support one of the two sides, and whose sole aim is to find the truth.

Your PRIO report was written by a Turkish Cypriot which automatically disqualifies it from being independent, and reading the report itself reveals and its absolute pro-Turkish bias.

Personally I never claimed that I am independent. I believe it is you who used to make such claims for yourself when you first joined the forum and you tried to hide your Turkish identidy in order to pass your bias views as supposedly being independent ones.

What I say though is supported by facts, I look at the whole truth, I admit the wrong doings of my side, and I always try to use independent sources. This is why in this case I presented to you the CoE report, and not anything produced by Greek Cypriots.

Piratis made a valid point and you've not got a response for it. Someone independant does not come from one of the 2 conflicting sides

DT,
Yes Piratis made a valid point/question, as you say. And I answered it at length and my answer to the his assertion that 'Someone independant does not come from one of the 2 conflicting sidesn ' is that he is wrong. I said it time and again, giving my reasons why the crix of the matter is not the nationality/citizenship of someone but whether the methods of generating/collecting data and the methods of analysing data were robust or not. Thus for me, whether the researchers were GC, TC, Turkish, Greek, Norwegian or anything else is irrelevant to the integrity of scientific method.

Also it is worth pointing out that Piratis did not start with this point - he arrived at this point after exhausting every other twist and turn.

Copperline did a a job much better than I could have done it and with much much more patience and still could not get through......What was I supposed to do in all of of that then??????

There was a danger that Piratis was sending Copperline around the bend so I added a bit of humour to bring him back....A virtual slap round the face if you like.....We can't lose the best informed person on the forum as in Copperline now can we.......

Copperline....You had me worried there for a minute mate...Don't let them into your head.....

Cooperline, the PRIO report is one sided Turkish propaganda. I could see that this was the case right away. It was apparent that either Turks paid somebody to make it, or they wrote it themselves.

Soon I was able to confirm what was already obvious by showing to you that it was in fact written by a Turkish Cypriot.

but this report is not just collecting data is it? It has an opinion to it which by reading it one does get a strong imperssion of being biased.
