the way you are acting now is making you propagandist too mate.
of course can make own mind . people are fed up with your lies. everything in Cyprus belongs to GC's. you are always directing them in wrong directions .when someone says something about other side of the coin what you do is always attack and try to stop them not to talk . We can talk mate.

Halil,

I beg to differ, the person concerned should just look at the British Foreign office website and read and heed the warnings about buying or obtaining property in the illegal north.

Its not just the GCs that are saying this, the British government is too, as well as many other governments around the world.

Rather than ill advise the member to act illegally, you would be better to say nothing instead of trying to spread your lies and propagander.

Lynn Cole, please becarefull in any exchanged properties. The North should be a definate no no as this speaks for itself. In the south, just make sure you get a solicitor to check the details of the house, ie outstanding mortgages, permit to build issued, etc etc.
Hope you can manage to do it, but i guess will take some work though.

All the best and a happy new year.

Pantheman

You need to be careful whenever buying/selling or even exchanging property abroad, however 'The North' should not be a 'definate no no' Not all property pre-74 was GC owned, so if you were considering land that had undisputed title deeds then you just need sound legal advice and a trustworthy solicitor, same any anywhere else.

74londonboy,

give me a break, you said "trustworthy solicitor", what in the illegally held territories.

Unrecognised by every country on the planet bar one pisspot country Turkey, you have to be kidding mate.

Even if it were pre 74 TC land, the fact that the country is held at gun point, operating under an illegal regime, with no respect for any human rights, where the rule of law does not exist. This is the place you are encouraging someone to goto ??

I think Lynn can draw her own conclusions, i am just sorry she has to put up with so much shit from both sides in the process.

Assuming we haven't managed to scared her away, the illegally held northern side of the island IS a definate NO NO.

If you say so.....however I was not encouraging her to go anywhere. She may already have a property in Cyprus (north or south), or may be looking to buy a property (north or south) to exchange with one in the UK.

Good luck with whatever she decides.

bev
That could be the problem, getting something similar in value and in an area you would be prepared to live, I still believe there is some mileage in it though.

GREAT IDEA

Hi Slac

I have been looking for a part exchange on my detached villa in Paphos which has never been lived in. It is a really beautiful 2 bedroom with great views of the mountains from every room in the property. It is on the edge of Tsada village and Mesogi - about 10 minute drive to Paphos Town.

I would consider part-exchange for property in the UK. I don't mind what type of property you have or what condition it is in.

If you are interested please contact me on 07758822775 - this is a UK phone number
