Couldn't agree with you more though, I think Karpaz is the most incredible place. I don't know if it's the Jews but there is definately a lot of construction going on...I've seen some big hotels/villa complexes being built there and although it's a shame, it does look quite nice actually, plus the villagers really don't seem to have a problem with the place being modernised. I think they should protect DipKarpaz since its got a lot of sentimental value to most people but I have a feeling they won't spare it...

Well they are meant to be, but then we have all those illegal constructions along the beach with bungalows and restaurants that people just seem to have built, but which village are you talking about? The one that i am thinking is only made up of Pontus Turks, i didnt know that TCs or anyone else lived there, well other then the random small hotels along the road and that crazy old nun that lives in the Church at the tip of the island, she told me off last time i went there
