Ghosts in Cyprus?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

There is the following info on Kantara castle - supposedly haunted by the defeated Queen:

KANTARA CASTLE

Probably the main reason to visit the castle are these amazing views, since you can stand and see both sides of North Cyprus at once! Looking north, the greenery of the olive groves and carab trees are in stark contrast with the dusty plains to the south, with Famagusta in the distance. Come on a clear day, and you should be able to see the Buffavento peak in the Kyrenia mountains some 30 miles away. Early in the morning on a clear day, you can also see the mountains of Turkey and sometimes, those in Lebanon too. It's a great reminder of just how close North Cyprus is to the lands of the Middle east, and why it was (or indeed is) so strategically important.

The Lost Queen of Kantara Castle, North Cyprus
From the top of the watch tower, messages could be sent to Buffavento castle using a system of flares. However, locals claim that at night you can see a queen sitting in the Gothic window in the top of the one remaining wall of the tower, looking over her lost kingdom. In fact, the only person to live at the castle since it was abandoned by the Venetians 500 years ago was a hermit called Simeon, who lived here during the 19th century.

As you walk into the castle between the twin towers of Kantara Castle, it's not always clear what part of the castle was where, because it is spread over a rocky site. The hill summit rises up in the middle of the site, so one half of the castle lies over the other side, including the lining quarters and water cisterns. The medieval latrines are on the south walls, and use the castle's sophisticated water system. There are also barracks along this wall, and are in good condition with roofs and woodwork intact. (Local legend says the castle has 101 rooms, and anyone finding the last room enters paradise – on a one way ticket.) However, most visitors head straight for the northeast tower, where you can climb onto the roof hear and be rewarded with fabulous views

Hope thats useful!!!!

"By the way,Varosha was looted decades ago in an organised way by the Turkish Army but the experiences I described happened quite recently..... "

This line has made my holidays!!!! Bless you Cymart!

looted in an organized way by a NATO army, what a fate for my home town! Well we now know why NATO training costs so much, it brings soldiers up to the very high standard of being able to organize the looting of a whole town, none of your barbaric individual acts of looting for personal gain. No Sir, this was organized looting!!!

No wonder the Turks and TCs who go there see ghosts, it is their collective guilt for what they did and are still doing every passing day they keep the town closed. It is not ghosts, it is whatever remains of their conscience that is hounding them.

I don't know about ghosts but the last time I stayed with my nan at Karpaz I'm sure I saw a UFO. It definately wasn't a plane, it was too fast and too high up to be one...but I remember being so shocked at what I'd just seen and wishing someone else had seen it too because I knew no one would believe me...and they didn't :( they were trying to tell me it was a plane but it definately WASNT, if you'd of seen it theres no way you would of thought it was a plane!!!

I know because he is my neighbour

never heard such a crock of deluded made up crap in my life lol

LOL

Why the fuck would i wanna make such shit up, I'm just trying to help the guy here who is wondering about paranormal stuff in Cyprus, and i live right next to the biggest one ever, i am no supporter of any Islamic sect, or any other similar crap as a matter of fact, but you would be surprised to see how many people actually do and come here just for this guy, i know because they all stay in my hotel when the old mans place is full, and it usually is, otherwise I'm not exactly happy to see these Sufi wannabe tourists wondering around in my town with their stupid outfits either.

Here, the old man has even got his own website, I'm not surprised that you haven't heard of it, but then there is only so little information some of you can fit up your arse I'm surprised you actually know anything about anything!

http://www.sheiknazim2.com/

But other then this, Lefke is a wonderful place indeed, most beautiful and untouched part of the TRNC i would say and i wouldnt wanna live anywhere else in Cyprus...
