you are right, two wrongs do not make one right...No need for pointless arguments either...one way or the other we both got screwed in the end..
My experiences as growing up were also good...We lived bang in the middle of the Turkish quarter of Limasssol (Ankara Str.) contact with GC kids was limited to football games sometimes we had on the weekends at the municipality car park...But when i started the English School in Nicosia and stayed at the boarding house we were mixed up 24/7...TC/GC Armenian kids we all shared the same dormitories day in day out...when i look back now and think about those days,i am amazed we never had any problem communicating...we used a language which was a mixture of English/Turkish & Greek...I learned a considerable amount of Greek words in one year.Had i the chance for another year i would have spoken the language as good as any GC kid..Same applied to GC kids also, they used to pick up Turkish from us..I don't remember any kid hating another on grounds of ethnicity...we shared everything, played together, ate together, studied together, stood up for each other at times of need....I just wish i could have graduated from that school...but 1974 troubles took that chance away from me...
I very much miss Cyprus,i still have in my memories...Everyday i curse the fuckheads (as you put it) from both sides who contributed to this fuckup..I hope they all burn in hell.
