How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Thanks for pointing out the theory of the Greek migration to Cyprus. As you say, its just a theory. That is not proof. Zan could put forward a theory, but like your statement it will not be proof. Why ask for the impossible. Are you clutching at straws? One thing we can be sure of is the arrival of the Greeks. That is indisputable.

Regards

Deniz, if you look around, 90% of credible world historians will tell you the same story with regards to Cyprus' history. Do you have proof to prove this theory wrong? Are you going to take Zan's word over a real historian? please! Who is clutching at straws here? The person who has done his research and backed by professional historians....or Zan and his radical ideas with no proof or evidence what so ever.

...and the reason I said not to bother posting any Turkish links is because im sick of hearing Turkish lies about history. For example, the ridiculous one that Cyprus was geographically part of the southern part of Anatolia before it broke off in evoloution (the biggest load of Turkish facist propaganda crap - Cyprus sprung up from the Med after volcanic disturbances.) Or the other Turkish lie, that the Hitites where Turks who migrated to middle Asia and then returned back to modern day Turkey).

I hope you can see my concerns.

Your the knob mate, you are making a fool of yourself, how old are you? cause you sound like a 10yo who been taught everything by his Zorba father, We all love Zan you just cant see it, stop and ask yourself why? he is allowed an opinions just like anyone else or is that to much to ask of a 10yo, obviously the case.

Oh look Zan, crazy VP off the internet loves you. Hope that satisfies you.

Yeh but I did say that I loved you and you keep going on abouZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

There you go look classic Zan - when he has nothing intelligent to say he resorts to trying to undermine someone lol. Well at least you have VP and Shahmaran on your side - hope that boosts your ego!

Where the hell do you come up with this shit brother? Show me where we claim that Cyprus just "appeared" due to volcanic activity, i beg you.

My main point in my post was the use of the word 'theory'. Never mind, you did not get it.

The other remarks about the Hittites is more unfortunate. Those words were written at the time (1920's/1930;s) to an ignorant population as a way of giving them a 'focus'. Ofcourse it does not apply to todays scientific and historical teachings.

As to Cyprus' birth. I remember reading the same books as you(plural) would have, in the 50's schools. That Cyprus arised from the sea, and sank back three times. Of course this would have been occuring over millions of years. Books then approved by the British. (sorry I dont know your age). Anything else would have been pure speculation by the illiterate. I remember looking at the maps and see how nicely Cyprus fitted in to the southern coast of Turkey. This would have misled the unfortunate illiterati. How this survives till today I dont know.

Thats why i cant be arsed to write anything serious half the time because of the ignorant knobs like Zan, Shahmaran, VP, Eric Dayi, etc.

Personal insults are not necessary.
Apart from that , whenever has there been a concensus of opinion. If whatever we say is rubbish, the same will go the other way too. Not many of us (forumers) are respecters of others opinions. That I think we agree upon.Lets cut out what happened in the past, we delve too much on it and let us look to the future.

Good idea, but who will tell those who keep on dragging up pre-history and 1571 up. They are the real culprits who try to avoid a true settlement. A settlement which will take care of all our concerns, which is hard enough as it is..
